Great restaurant that has spicy food. While Chinese restaurants in the area aren't like truly exceptional by any means. There are some that are decent and this is one of them
Twice Cooked Pork, Homestyle Tofu, Eggplant Not bad at all, pretty solid meal. Tofu and eggplant dishes were done well. I will say though, if you're looking for a great twice cooked pork, definitely go to Genroku, nothing quite compares!
A Must-Visit for Authentic Sichuan Flavors! If you're craving real Sichuan cuisine, look no further! This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves bold, spicy, and flavorful dishes. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the smell of aromatic spices filled the air. The peppers are not for the faint of heart, but if you love heat, this dish delivers! The Maoxuewang (毛血旺)was a standout as well, with silky pork-blood in a rich, numbing sauce that had the perfect balance of spice and savoriness. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations based on our preferences. Prices are reasonable for the quality and authenticity, and I'll definitely be coming back again. If you're a fan of authentic Sichuan cuisine or looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit!
The dishes are divine. Royal Sichuan is one of the best in the Dallas area. Make sure to take time and explore Chinatown before your meal as well as it is the anchor to so much in the Richardson Core District.
Was looking for the best authentic chinese food and this hit the spot, highly recommend.
Service is certainly not the best. But made up by some pretty good food. I had the combination fried rice, and I think it is one of the best around. Ambience looks like a traditional Chinese Restaurant. Prices are fair.
I'm always on the lookout for a great Sichuanese spot, so when my friends recommended this place, I had to give it a try. While I usually go to a closer spot in Plano, I was eager to expand my Sichuanese culinary experiences in Dallas. The service was commendable, with our orders promptly taken and arriving in a timely manner. The presentation of the food was so appealing that it was a challenge not to let the camera eat first. The scallion pancakes were a delightful contrast to the numbing heat, being both nice and light. The garlic eggplant was delicious, with a delightful softness and sweetness. As always, the water-boiled fish stole the show for me, with its tender fish that melted in my mouth. The Dan Dan noodles added a chewy and flavorful element to the meal. While this spot may be a bit pricier and farther than my usual go-to, the quality of the food makes it worth considering for future visits. I wouldn't mind trying it out again.
I took my mom here recently and we both loved it!! My family has been going to Royal Sichuan for years. Here's what we ordered: Pan fried buns - dough is fluffy and very tasty! I liked how both the tops and bottoms are fried. The dipping sauce complemented everything nicely. Unfortunately though, there wasn't much filling inside the buns, but the small amount that Was there was delicious. Black pepper beef - extremely tender and flavorful pieces of beef. It comes sizzling on a hot plate. My mom and I couldn't have enough; it was that good!! Shrimp Lo Mein - I liked the choice of noodle that was used and the flavor was great. I would pick a different protein next time just because the shrimps were small and I didn't taste the wok-hei. Fish in tofu pot w/ cayenne - this is my mother's favorite dish to order at Sichuan restaurants. The tofu and fish are both delightfully tender. Soup also has great flavor but actually isn't that spicy. I've never had something from here I didn't like. Royal Sichuan is my favorite Sichuan restaurant in DFW and would highly recommend!
